Although this book is the culmination of many years of learning, playing, and teaching the game of pool, no teaching book can be written without input from many authoritative and knowledgeable people. I would especially like to thank the pool and billiard instructors who helped me with the book—Wayne Norcross, Calvin Coker, and Roy Yamane. In fact, Roy is one of a select few Billiard Congress of America Master Instructors.
I would also like to thank two of my sparring partners for the past 10 years—Fernando “The Razor” Rivas and Ron “The Jump Master” Sakahara. If a ball can be jumped, Ron can do it. If a ball can be cut, Fernie can do it. These two never cease to amaze me at what they can do on a pool table.
